HOW-TO VIDEOS: Airplane Travel

HOW TO TAKE YOUR CHAIR ON THE AIRPLANE

TSA requires that ALL lithium-ion batteries must be encased inside the frame of the electric wheelchair. We thoughtfully designed our batteries to fit inside the frame of the chair. So, they are encased in metal which allows you to take your FOLD & GO WHEELCHAIR down the gangway to the airplane.

HOW TO PUT ON THE AIRLINE TRAVEL BAG

We offer a Travel Bag to protect your FOLD & GO from those dreaded “Baggage Handlers”. We all know the wear and tear they can cause on our luggage. Our heavy duty travel bag will help protect your chair and keep everything in one place. The velcro straps fit perfectly around your chair, so you can cover your chair in seconds while you are on the gangway getting ready to board the plane.

HOW-TO VIDEOS: Driving in the Rain

WHY LIMIT YOURSELF TO ONLY DRIVING DURING GOOD WEATHER?

We have designed the frame of our chairs to encase the batteries. This protects the batteries from snow, sleet, hail, and even if it’s raining cats & dogs. Our weather proofing does not stop there…our joystick and electrical cables are covered in protective rubber housing. No matter where you drive your FOLD & GO WHEELCHAIR trust in our innovative construction to get you there.

We believe wheelchairs should be able to drive in ANY type of weather. Just because the device is electric does not mean it can’t be protected from the weather. We are DISABLED everyday of the year. We are disabled when it’s sunny, when it’s raining, when it’s foggy, or any other type of weather we may face.

INSTALLING THE JOYSTICK

Your wheelchair will come fully assembled. All you need to do is put the joystick into the armrest you choose when you ordered your chair: left or right. The joystick will have an instruction card attached to the cable. Follow those simple instructions to connect the joystick to your chair. The entire process takes about 5 seconds.

USING MANUAL POWER

On the top of each rear motor wheel is a red lever. Push that red lever forward to disengage the motor wheels and brakes. This will allow you to push the wheelchair manually. You can use this feature when you want to stretch your legs and walk for a bit. You can use your wheelchair like a walker or rollator by holding on to the backrest and pushing your chair. When you are tired of walking, just pull the red levers back and the chair is back in power mode.
